Mini Rods

This is the Mini Rod class or as I call them the Lawnmowers.

I don't know who thought it was a good idea to put a 550 c.i. motor on a lawnmower , but thats what we got. A fun class to watch because these guys don't have a clue where they are going to end up.

This is Larry Koester the pilot of the "Foot Loose" mini rod. This is one of my favorite drivers in all motor sports.

After loosing his legs in a accident he continued to drive. He jokes about it as the name of the tractor says. I have heard him say that " we lost by a foot" and " the competition had a leg up on us ". In the photo he is grinding the tires for a little more traction.
