The weekend

Saturday morning we got the weekend started by playing 9 holes at Smyrna National golf course. Bubba brought his son Rapheal for a little fun. Rapheal lives in Detroit and is visiting for the summer. I made him a club and gave him a practice ball so he could practice whenever we got to a Tee box.
Now Rapheal is 11 and a really nice kid. Bubba let him drive the cart , well I gave him his first club and I gave him his ball so the least I could do is run over his ass with the cart for his first wreck. He has so much to tell when he gets back to Detroit.
After that it was off to the Tractor pull at Chapel Hill Tn. The Super Pull of the South. What a good time! Above is pictured one of the 2 wheel drive trucks.
This is one of the Mini Modified Tractors that flipped over Friday night. Put it back together and about 280 feet lost the front wheel , never got out of the gas. Went 305 feet in a hell of an run. If you think you want one of these things you need your head examined

Now we move to the Big boys. 4 ,5 , 6 engines , who cares. These guys run this many motors at 2000 hp a piece. Wooo can you say hold on. It is the Super pull of the South.

Sunday Troy put me to work putting up some storm doors in 98 degree weather. Not a problem when your off Monday to play golf again. Henry , Dave , Larry and myself played 18 at Hermitage golf course. Now this is a golf course that is setup for the pro's. The L.P.G.A and the Seniors Tour have played here.

Pictured above is one of my drives stuck in a drain that if it would have been a 1/16th of bigger I never would have found it. Now everyone who has played golf always says " If I played on a course like that I could shoot good too". Well when you put 9000 sand traps and water on every hole it gets pretty damn interesting. I had 6 par's and a birdie and still shot 100. When I was on I was on , when I sucked , I really sucked. The best thing was , I was not at work. Get it?
