Ol Blue

Friday Barry got the call from B&J Racing that his motor was done and ready to go back in the frame. Barry broke the shifter shaft back in September so he decided that this would be a good time to go through the whole motor. Now this is like having heart surgery you what to go to the best doctor you can find. So I told him that when I had the same problem that I took my bike to Bob Ginder at B&J Racing. This proved to be the right decision. With his surgeon like moves Bob cut , smoothed , massaged the rod , piston , head and cylinder in a way that only he can.
We showed up at the Ranch about 10:30 Saturday morning and visited the skeleton of what is Barry's TY 250 still sitting on the rack that had been its home for 4 months. The new power plant was sitting there just waiting for a couple of interns to install it in the frame that it was so home sick for. We worked quickly to install the motor and try to find all the parts and bolts we had removed months ago. The only set back was getting all the dog food out of the exhaust pipe that the mice had hidden there for future use.
About 2 and a half hours later Ol Blue was ready to come off of life support and breath on its own. With the anticipation high Barry wheeled her out side and give her a kick. On the second kick she come alive. The joy could be felt coming from Barry's smiling face all over the Ranch. A quick ride around the shop the Guru applied one final touch with his screwdriver and she looked like a new born colt running and bucking around the Ranch. Now we just need a couple of days to ride and get some of the rust off of the rider and we are good to go. Thanks to Bob and PeeWee this old bike will live another 30 years.

That son of a bitch wheelies nicely! Scared the hell out of me with all that new power and that fast throttle. I heard I looked good though!

Wheely....we thought you did it on purpose just to show off a little! You know put a scare in the competition. Show them what they were up against for the upcoming season!
It was so smooth and controlled we had no idea you were suprised and scared...until you told us!

Nice
Nothing like getting things put back together after having been torn apart for so long.
