Sorry its been so long

Not a lot going on so I have been saving this one just for a time like this. Everyone knows this is the Goodyear blimp. We have seen it at sporting events our whole lives. Well here's my problem.
Back during the hurricane season we were playing golf at our local course in Smyrna Tn. that is next to the airport. We got to the 4th hole and we could see the blimp tied to the runway. I found out later that the blimp was moved from Florida to Tennessee because of the threat of the hurricane. Now this thing is based 700 or 900 miles from here. I'm no blimp expert , but could you not just let the air out of this thing and put it in a box in the hanger until the storm blows over. How much does it cost to fill the damn thing up and how much does it cost to fly it at 30mph from Florida to Tennessee. Not to mention that a crew comes with it. I'm sure they get payed well for this. If your garbage can blows over when there is bad weather you either tie it to something or you go get it from your neighbors yard or you could put it in the garage. But you wouldn't drive it to a spot 2 or 3 states away till the storm blew over. If they needed a bunch of hot air to fill it up all they had to do is harness the air of the presidential campaign. I may be wrong , I don't know.

I heard that they hadn't intended to take it any further north than Sequatchie, but they couldn't get it to the ground there because of all the hot air coming up out of the Trials Training Center.

Nice blog Captain

Damn Captain, I was hoping the story was going to end with you or Barry putting a hole in it with a Spalding XXout at about 310 yards! Now I know why tires are too expensive.

It's been a long day, thanks for a great laugh!!!

Dude, they brought it there specifically for the hot air supply that was undoubtedly there in abundance. I'm speaking of the Dennis Smith hot air factor.....
