Halloween

Halloween , beggers night , trick-or-treat , its all the same. A fun night for kids and adults. Dress up like something scary and go from house to house and get a bag full of treats. What a gig! Walking the neighborhood with your friends or brother or sister. Well almost. Now in sted of house to house its mall to mall. Caramel apples
and popcorn balls are toothbrush's and plastic rings. This is the society we live in now. I wish the kids now could experience the way it was and was intended.

Cassie , Erin and Brooklyne were ready for the night on the town as they stopped by to scare the pants off of Grama Patsy. Patsy gave them all $50 worth of treats and sent them on their way. This is still a fun holiday.

Just in case

In case you can't play Caulkboys video here are a couple of pictures of Cassie and Ryan Saturday. This was my first time at the soccer field and I also had a great time.

This is Cassie chasing an errant pass by the other team. She was able to get the ball in front of the goal and pass to a teammate , but the shot was blocked. A good effort from the entire team all day.

Here's Ryan ( in the middle ) with a break away with the ball. Ryan enjoys soccer more than tee ball cause there's a lot more activity to keep him occupied. He still likes to watch his shaddow when he runs. Next week will end the season so I plan on going to that one also.

A day off

Friday me and some of the guys at work decided to take a day off and go golfing before it gets to cold. We tee'ed off at 10:30 with the temperature at 45 degrees and cloudy. Not perfect conditions but it was better than working.

Here we have from left to right Larry (the Hoghead )Cason , Dave ( Noogie ) Sawyer , and Henry ( the Beast ) Clardy on the 16th tee box. The building behind them is the W.T. Wendell building where they used to have the Grand Ole Opery before they tore down Operyland.

The scores were alright I guess. The Beast had a pretty bad day , but he did kick my ass last Tues. at Smyrna. It did warm up to a balmy 55 degrees before the day was over. Still better than working.

This past weekend we had the trials at the ranch in Dickson. We couldn't have ask for better weather , Highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s. Perfect for riding and camping. Saturday night was the big concert. Malcolm and Peewee provided the entertainment on guitar and Charlie on the drums (5 gallon bucket). This is always a good time. Start a fire and away we go.

You can sing along or play if you can. Everybody was on the edge of their seat , except for Mike who took a little nap during the concert.

There were four sanctioning body's at the trials , ITSA , STRA , MIDWEST and AHRMA. This is what makes this such a good Trials. People from all over the country show up and have a ball.

I won my class both days and came in 5th overall both days. A good weekend for the Green team. Thanks to all the people I had the pleasure to meet and ride with. Thanks to B&J for putting on such a good event.

Setting up

Saturday the crew from B&J was hard at it setting up the trials for next weekend. This is a AHRMA two day national event.

The crew shown here in a AHRMA section scratching their heads trying to figure out how to get four different levels of riders through the same section. This is why we hate split sections. From left to right we have Jessie , Graham , Peewee , Bruce and Ray. This is why that Sunday we will have 25 one line sections in a ITSA format. A lot less confusion to setup and to ride. I love it.

No story here just a bunch of bikes. From left to right is a BSA , Kawas
ki
, Suzuki, Honda Tl , Scorpa , Honda Reflex And a Ossa

Dustin (hocky boy) showed up for the entertainment. This kid can ride.
