nail in the coffin

This was the nail in the coffin. Troy and I put the finishing touches on his cart to get it ready for the next get together.
A new back sprocket , chain and back bumper was in order. Now all things are ready and ready to go for a hell of a fun day.
Troy is pretty tough in this old cart , but I think me and old Red will tear the new paint off that back bumper if need be. I might be 51 years old , but damn this is fun.

Gettin ready

A few weeks ago Jessie and PeeWee came out to Troy's to ride motorcycles and when Jessie found out that we had gocarts he insisted that we have a gocart ride. I told him that I needed to do some work on them , but I would make it happen.
The 5 carts that we have have left just needed a little maintenance to get them going. The Yellow one pictured needed the most with a engine change and a new seat mounted. After a bit of welding and drill some holes she's ready to go. So it won't be long before we'll be tearing up the track again. Should be interesting.

Almost over

I guess this was a sign that the season was almost over.
A couple of weeks ago the Beast hit his ball into the grave yard on the 11th hole at Smyrna golf course. This had to be a sign that the time was going to change and it would be to dark to play after work the rest of the year. I have hit near the grave , but this was the first time I had seen a ball actually go in there. It would have been great since it was also almost Halloween if a hand would have came out and held the ball or threw it back at us when we tried to retrieve it. Oh well we'll save that one for the movies. This same grave came into play on June the 1st , 2006 if you want to look at the archives. I'm glad the bowling lanes don't have any graves on them.
