Back in buisness

Sorry about the delay , but I had to take my computer to the doctor. It is the flu and virus season you know. I've been told that I need to quit using this thing as a $1200 Playboy magazine. Oh well. The nice wheather allowed me to get some work done on the old KT. After completely disassembling the motorcycle you get out the old mop and bucket and start scrubbing. If you think that 30 years of grease and oil is going to come off the first try well let me tell you. After scrubbing and sanding , a little welding , a fresh coat of Metalic Blue paint and there you go. Now the assembly begains. Notice the gas tank after it had been welded , sanded, and sealed. The side covers that were old junkie plastic have been replaced by some nice aluminum ones that I made. Stay tuned for more updates

This is a picture of Patsy that I took one day we was goofing off. Notice the intrest she has as she is almost back to her seat before the ball gets to the pins. But anyway , nobody bowled to good this week. Something I say from time to time is " If bowling is a sport then I'm an athlete".

This fine left handed style can only be Caulkboy. Barry started strong but fell a little short of that first 600 series. Noodle (Jennifer) contiued to put the pressure on Red for another good series.

Project # 2

This is a 1976 KT 250 that I purchased from a man in Indianapolis for $400. He told me that it run good but the gas tank had a leak, but he couldn't find another tank and thats why he was selling it.

Now the fun begins.
He wasn't lying about the leak. The end of the tank was nearly rusted away. I welded and ground on it for about 4 hours to get the leak fixed. If you will notice the moto-x fenders and knobbie tires. They got to go. The rear shocks are bent. You can also see in the picture. The front forks had almost enough spring in them to keep the fender off of the tire. The front wheel has some spokes missing. The sprokets have teeth sharp enough to use as a sawblade. The seat is coverd with some really nice tape. All the cables had to be replaced. A new throttle and grips a must do.

The motor, and remember" runs good" is now at B&J racing for a complete overhaul. The rod had a little slop in it, and the piston was a little small for the hole it lives in. But it will shift.

I took off the head light , oil injection and anything else that you don't need to ride a trials.

I will keep you up dated on the progress of what will be a hot rod when finished. This is also to show just how much it cost to get a real bargain ridable and dependable. Stay tuned.

bowling

Well it was bound to happen. The Cpt. finally came out of his slump , coming with in one frame of a 300. A spare in the sixth frame was the only blemish in the third game. I have managed to drop my average from 220 to 194 , hopfully this will help. Jennifer also had a good night rolling a 356 series with a 97 average.

Ryans birthday

Here we have Ryan on his big day.
I'm not sure but I think that him and Natalie had one to many cups of coffee. It was quite the effort just to get these two pictures. I,m positive that when I was Four years old that I would sit still and mind like you should. No they we're really good just a little excited as well they should be.

Feel free to comment on any of these bogs. Thats what it's there for to have fun and share a little bit of Tennessee with you.

Wide load

While I was out and about New Years Day I seen a lot of motorcyles on the road.Granted it is winter and you get a 60 or 70 degree day your going to break out the two wheeler and go for a spin. Well I came across this little guy , just out for a ride and enjoying the fine weather. I couldn't help but notice that he was doing a lot of looking around , so I got a chance to talk to him at a Red light and I ask him if he was looking for a house or business and could I help him find it. I was a little disturbed when he told me he was looking for a cute guy on an Orange bike that had waved and winked at him up the road. He said he thought the guys name must be DUKE cause he had it on his tank. Now thats weird , be afraid be very afraid.

Texas Hold'em

Here we find Troy Monymaker at the end of a short stack. Being a calm cool never vocal card player everyone loves , never rubbing it in , throwing it in your face. Accepting defeat knowing that its just a game and is all the luck of how the cards fall, no skill involved at all. So the only explanation I have for this last picture is Barry must have spilled a PBR in his lap. No he was the big winner at the Gladden's New Years Eve party. I think he will not be invited next year to give someone else a chance to win. Thank you Dave for the photos.
