Memorial day weekend

The weekend went off with a bang as we went to Ryan's ball game on Saturday that they won. Then we went to Troy and Julie's for Cassie's birthday party / sleep over. We had some horse shoe throwing and Troy and Barry riding the trials bikes. Sunday we all kind of got some rest. On Monday all was present at the Cpt's house . The slip and slide was the big draw on Monday. I didn't partake this time. Would I be a Redneck if I built a deck around the Slip and slide?
We had a bubble blowing contest with Natalie and Brooklyn. Both talked a good game but Red versus Blond looked liked it ended in a tie.

Then if your going to drink with the Septer's you have to practice. Jennifer only drank coffee and passed out early , how doe's that work? Thanks to the A.M.G. (Adcock motorcycle gang) for coming by. A great weekend and we had a ball.
Here is the scores from Tuesdays golfing.

golf 5/22

What a day this turned out to be. I think I forgot everything about golf over the weekend. Thats ok I don't expect much when I go out. As you can see by the scores , youth and flexibility has the upper hand. I find myself trying to hang with Barry and my body tells me that I'm out of my mind.
I just enjoy playing with him , and he don't get on me to bad for sucking the big one.

Trials 5/20

What a wonderful weekend for camping and riding. I was upset that the drag races got postponed at Bristol , but if you get to go to the Ranch instead it comes out a wash. Barry and I took the motor home out to the Ranch to practice camping and see if the repairs we made were worth the money. I'm pleased to inform you that all went well with the camper. I went to a log jumping and turning school Saturday put on by the Guru that was very helpful on Sunday. This first photo is of my Buddie Peewee trying to go through a corner that you can't push a motorcycle through.
This is the sort of thing that makes the Guru laugh out loud. The turn can be made but few we're able to complete the task. The next photo shows how tight it really is as this poor tree was raped by foot pegs and side panels.
If that wasn't enough if you got by the corner from hell you got try this little maneuver. Fall off a 3 foot bank and turn around in a cracker box and go back up the same bank. Again just try pushing a bike through here. We see Curt doing a good job of it though.

Thanks to all who came , to make this a fun weekend. Oh ya I did win , but the competition was very scarce.

Golf 5/15

Another fine day for golf. Since we've had a little rain the course now has grass on it and it makes it a little better to play. Dave had his son Dale show up to play with us this week and he put up the best score. A nice bird on # 7 clinched the deal.
Since the drag races were moved at Bristol this weekend to July 6th , I will be riding the Trials at the ranch in Dickson this Sunday. I really wanted to go to Bristol , but I also wanted to ride this Trials. I'll let you know how it comes out.

golf 5/8

We had a beautiful day Tue's to play. For me that was the end of it. Having trouble with all aspects of my game I didn't score to good.
The Beast and Caulkboy had a good battle going on until Caulkboy used his youth to overcome the Beast. The Beast putting the pressure on when he nailed the pin on #5 and tapped in for a Bird. The four par's in a row at the finish for Caulkboy is a hard act to follow.

Ryno

Saturday morning I went to check out Ryno Provence with the powerful Prime Builders. Not much of a game when they beat the other team 22 to 6. Ryno went 3 for 3 with 2 singles and a double. He scored 3 runs and damn near got run over by his teammate who hit a home run and is 2 years older than Ryno and a foot taller. He runs pretty good for a kid with 13 inch legs , he looks like the roadrunner.
Saturday was also Ryans debut on 3d base because of the absence of a few players. Did I mention that they only had 9 players and the other team had 13.
Ryno proved that he is not afraid of the ball when in the last inning he took a hard ground ball off the chest , but kept the ball in front of him, scooped it up and held the kid to a single. The coach's were all over him to see if he was alright , but he showed them that real players don't cry.
Way to go Ryan.

Last week of bowling

Well the season is finally over. The Seamen went 14 and 0 the last two weeks to vault up 3 places to finish 15th out of 24 teams. Gettin Wood also finished on a winning note to end up 17th. Now you might say that we suck , and you would be right , but if you take the lower half of the teams the Seamen would be 3d and Gettin Wood would be 5th. So now what do you have to say. Jennifer had a very good night with a 155 , 121 ,149 off of a 107 average. Barry had a high game of 203 ,131 ,191. The Beast came in with a 158,189,181 and I had a 215,191,181. Glad its over and can't wait till next year.
Here is the golf scores from Tues. where we battled 80 degree temps and no wind and no excuses. Except they did aerate the green's and it was like putting on a Chinese checker board.
