Trials team

Here is the latest addition to the Cpt. Dicks Trials team. This past Thursday Troy and Barry purchased 2 TY 250 Yamaha's from the Guru. Both bikes will need a little t.l.c. , but this is common for a 30+ year old motorcycle. About a 3 hour stay at the shop looking at motorcycles and parts , these 2 were as excited as a 3 year old on Christmas morning. Once the alcohol wore off and they looked at their bank accounts they settled down quite a bit. This is going to be a lot of fun and will give them a chance to work on their own bikes and learn how they work.
Pictured here with Bob Ginder (the Guru) 28 , 29 time national champion who was nice enough to put on a short demonstration on riding and drinking. We will have to see how this comes out but I'm sure it will be a great time. I'm kind of excited to .

2 for Tuesday

The first card is from last week. Terrance was a virgin player , with us that is , but his girl friend beat the hell out of him when he got home so he won't be back.
As you can see from this card that we had a full house this week. No change in the scores though. Oh ya , when we got back to the clubhouse I found out that Troy and Barry had beer left in their coolers. That's some kind of penalty I think.
Be careful with your comments or you may hear the Wrath of Rhonda!

Fathers day

What a great day. Barry and I along with PeeWee and his dad (Sam ). We was at the Ranch in Dickson for some more lesson's and practice. A little hot as the temperature was near a 100 , but what do we care. When ever you can spend time with your kids I suggest you go for it. I 'm lucky that I'm the envy of a lot of riders for having my family come and watch me , but to have them ride with me is going to more fun than I've had since the mid 70's when Deane and I rode Moto-X and Mom and Dad would come to watch.
Barry was a little disappointed with his riding , but he forgets that this is his 4th time on a motorcycle and he is at the baddest place on the planet to ride. I told him that you have to learn how to wreck to learn to ride. Sounds dumb , but you can crash and not get hurt or hang on to the stupid thing until it kills you. Parts are cheap , hospitals are not. He did learn more Sunday than he did in the other 3 days of riding combined. By the time we got home he was ready to ride again. This last picture shows the abuse that the ass of the rider and bike took during the ride.
I can't wait for the next ride. Thanks to Bob for letting us come out and Sam for not laughing out loud.

Lesson 2

Saturday was lesson 2 for Barry and the first for Troy with me gettin on his ass.
They practiced up hill's and down hill's along with turning. Both of them done a good job for no more seat time than they have had. The first picture is Troy going up a bank.
Here he has to go up a bank with a log on top of it. Sounds easy , but all I can say is try it.

Here is Barry going down the bank that he managed to pitch himself over the bars on. Maybe that's why his ass is so far back this time. We had a great time and can't wait to ride again.

New toy

Ever since I moved the boat in the garage these 3 have made it an amusement ride.
It really gets exciting when all 3 are casting a Snoopy pole in the garage ( no hooks of course ).

golf 6/5

A good day to play. Troy blessed us with his presents today. We all done pretty good. I managed to one putt 2 greens to save my score. The Beast sunk a 15 footer for par on 16 , and then holed a shot out of the sand for a boogie on 17.
Most of us counted all of our shots. See ya next week.

Next champion

Sunday Barry and I went out to Troy's for a riding lesson. Troy and Barry think they want to try to ride a trials and I think that's pretty cool. So I was willing to give all the advice I could to help them along. I've been waiting for this for a long time. Troy had to work so it was just Barry and I today.

Barry going over a small log in a section we layed out. Pretty good for someone that didn't even know how to ride a motorcycle at all.

This hump of dirt last year Barry launched my bike over and took out some tree's and the front fender , but today he had the number of the hump. We rode for about 3 hours and had a ball. We need a few more sessions cause he hasn't wrecked yet. I can't wait for the next lesson.
