Golf 6/27

We was blessed with the presents of Barry Tues. He got off work a little early and came out to play with us. He then proceeded to kick some old mens ass.

When we got done with the first nine holes I had the bright idea that I could whoop his ass on the Executive course (par 3 ). So off we went and this boy showed no mercy on me. Maybe next time I'll quit while I'm behind.

Fathers day

The weekend started off on Saturday we put siding on a really nice mans house. Him and his wife were almost to nice. His wife apologized for not being there to cook us lunch because she had to work. This was a first for the siding guys. The job went well and Caulkboy said we need to go play golf. So we went home , took a shower and thats what we did. Why don't alcohol tell you this is a bad idea instead of HELL YA that sounds good. I had a good time anyway. This brings us to Sunday.

At 6 in the morning a kid from work came over to have me weld some pieces on the frame of his truck. The rear axle was hitting the frame so we put these loops on so he could cut the frame out and lower his S10 so that the frame would drag the ground. Sounds like a good idea to me. No alcohol at this point. After that I went to rent a chipper to cut up the bushes I cut down. Thankfully Barry showed up to help. We chipped for an hour and a half and had a pile of mulch big enough for a house plant. This being fathers day a man who lives down the road stopped and told us if we would like we could take the brush to his house and he would burn it. He told us where to put it and drove off. So we took the chipper or pencil sharpener back and started loading the truck with brush. Five loads and a couple of hours and we're ready for the party.

All the rides had been approved by the Cpt. except one , the slip and slide. So being the test dummy or great Grandfather I am I took the plunge. It felt pretty damb good and cooled me off to. This brings us to Monday.

I took the day off so that Jereme and I could go fishing and we had to take all the old siding that we had been taking off to the dump. We had a good day on the lake netting some fish drinking a couple of beers and just relaxing. Now to explain this picture. Jereme is about 2 M&Ms short of 300 , so this 5 pound bass looks kinda small next to him , but I promise this is not trick photography. Now I'm headed to the steak house for supper and that should wrap up the weekend. Thanks to all the kids for a great weekend.

Golf 6/13

A beautiful day to be out doing anything. We happened to be playing golf this fine day. The day started pretty shitty with the Beast (Henry) and me both with a triple bogey the first 2 holes. That brings me to this, on the 2nd hole I hit over by some tree's and they was in the middle of the fairway. I went to look for my ball while waiting for the people in front of us to get off the Green. They started hollering at me and I thought they had hit their ball at me. So I ducked my head, but they kept hollering. So I looked up to see a deer running at me. When I looked up it spooked the deer and it run the other way only to see more golfers, so it turned the other way. This deer darted back and forth 10 times at a 100 mph to finally make it to the woods.

After that the Beast and I started playing pretty good. A couple of bogies and then the big hole where he had a par and I birdied the 15th 173 yard par 3. The Beast pictured above unleashed is best score for the year and I tied my low score for the year.
Hoghead ..49
Dennis..41
Henry...48
Cpt.....46

Work , work ,work

In order to go play you have to work somewhere along the line. It cost a lot of money to play on weekends. As much as I miss it You have to do the right thing.

We,re working every weekend trying to pay for last year where I played and didn't work. So right now the Siding guys are hard at it trying to get caught up and pay the bills on the new hot rod. We work hard but we still try to have a good time. We're getting a lot of jobs because the big contractors won't even look at because there to small. But with a name like "Little Profit" we're all over it.

Tee ball

Ryan is going to start playing tee ball so we had a little practice session the other day. He likes to hit , but didn't think that he needed to play the field.

Ryan is 4 years old and I'm going to tell you its hard to keep their attention when trying to teach them what they need to know. He did really well for the most part and this first year is just getting him used to playing with other kids and hopefully learn the basics of the game. I coached his mothers team and had a ball, laughing and wondering what would happen next.

It had been raining and we had to wait for the rain to stop so we could play. Natalie got tired of sitting in the mud and thought she would give the old tee a shot. After figuring out that she could hit better with the handle of the bat better than the barrel, she could at least knock the ball off the tee. I love this stuff.

Golf..5/30

This is a grave that is on the 11th hole at Smyrna National golf course. The unique thing is the front of the head stone has the mans name on it. The two sides has his two wives names on them. The first wife only lived to be 30 and rumor has it that at this very spot she accused him of moving his ball out from behind the tree. Well he had no choice but to beat her to death with a hickory shafted 5 iron. The second wife was playing golf with him and he went to this very tree to take a leak. Wife #2 got the wrong idea and said something to him and he beat her to death with a hickory shafted seven iron. A few years later he was killed when his horse drawn golf cart lost control and slammed into the tree. The impact did not kill him but 2 broken clubs flew from his bag and pierced his body thus killing him. Man wouldn't that be cool if it was true.

Heres the scores from Tues. Man I even had me going.
