bowling scores

I'm finally getting to use my computer while Patsy is at work. I got the scores from last week off of the sheet . I'd really would like to forget them , but They are what they are so here we go. I would like to point out that the 3d game last week I had 7 splits out of 10 frames , and I'm not talking about no little splits either. I'm talkin Fred Flintstone splits ( who was the greatest bowler ever) that your ball splits in half and picks them up. I haven't mastered that yet,but trying.
Jennifer..95...107...127
Jereme..116...150...164
Barry..158...170...86
Cpt.....161...190...127
This week I just picked up where I left off. The splits just kept coming , but I figured out that I was coming over the top and not staying behind the ball. I wasn't getting enough fingers in the ball and trying to force it to the pocket instead of letting the ball roll and take the oil. I also found that with the christmas tree pattern that the Five board was way to far outside. I was getting to much angle on the head pin and leaving splits. I did pick up the 5,9,7 in the first game. I know , I know . How in the hell do you leave a 5, 9,7. I don't know but I picked it up anyway. I've always heard don't leave them if you can't get them , or hit 7 get 7. Thank God its almost over and I can start giving golfing scores that I know will be higher.

on the other hand

Hey just so you'll know I did clean this section twice and this is what it looks like when you do it right. Can you say CHEESE!!!

The first fall of spring

This is a series of pictures taken by Jereme and Barry to show everyone the fun that is had by novice trials riders.
The first one is me getting out of shape on the creek bank. At this point its over, no coming back.

Next is where the Cpt. abandons ship and pitches the the bike out of the way. I didn't want to dive in the creek but my choices were limited. Thank God for the $17 Fox knee pads that PeeWee suggested I buy when I first started riding. I landed knees first on a big rock that would have busted my knee cap in a million pieces. Thankfully there were no injuries , not even a scratch and I didn't get wet.

The last picture is me picking up the mad Kaw and assessing the damage. The only thing broken was a piece of Blue tape. Damb thats a 5!!!

Almost got the "NUBBIE" award in the first tials of the year.
Now that would suck!
Hey the Ranch is tuff , thats why we love it.

I.T.S.A. trials 3/18

A really nice day for riding , temps in the 50's , sunny and dry. A very challenging course that we've grown to expect at the ranch in Dickson. Thanks to the Midwest guys that showed up and we will see you in Cuba Missouri. I won my class only because nobody else choose that class , and it turns out that was a good thing because I rode like a idiot all day. The day was really about a brave crew that came to watch a bunch of old farts on bikes , either entertain you with moves that are not possible on a motorcycle or with moves that were totally unintentional. Barry took this last picture from about half way down the hill that leads to the creek. If you look real close you can see Patsy ,Troy ,Julie and Cassie. This is a hard place to ride let alone walk. So a big pat on the back for the Team Green support team , Troy , Julie , Jenny , Barry ,Jereme , Mike , Cassie , Erin , Ryan and a special thanks to Patsy who thinks I'm crazy for doing this , but still supports me. More to come.

More Gainesville

This is a picture of the abandon phosphate mines that we set the trials up around. You really don't want to miss a turn cause that first step is a doozie. We wanted to do a little fishing , but couldn't find anyone to give us permission.
This next picture is what happens when you have a 100 motorcycles running around the same area. I was trying to take a picture of PeeWee and Bruce Clegg timed it just right to ride between us for a picture that could be a most wanted poster. Heres how the conversation went. If my camera wasn't so slow this wouldn't happen.
Bruce....oops sorry!
Me......Thats alright I got it.
Bruce....Sorry man.
Me...its all good. I didn't know that I got it alright, the best picture of Bruce ever posted on the internet. I hope Bruce comes to the ITSA trials the 18th so I can thank him for posing so well.

This was not planned to cover up the "cheater Suzuki" that is so famous now.

Who knows

I'm beginning to wonder what a good night at the bowling alley is.
Right now I'm just looking for small accomplishments. Picking up spares is getting better , but the strikes in a row thing is still a mystery.

Thank God that the beer thing isn't a problem.

Gainesville

I made it home with all my body parts intact. What a beautiful weekend , temps in the 80s , sunshine , sweet. My friend Pee Wee won for his first national win. I came in 4th for my best showing at a national event , and our buddy Mennonite Mike (pictured above) finished 5th for a pretty good showing for the Tennessee group. We were high fiving each other and giggling like little school girls in the pits. Plenty of adult beverages followed. Thanks to Bob Ginder ( pictured below) for letting me tag along and enjoy the event and people that are associated with it. I got to hang out with Jim Pomeroy , ex pro moto-xer and Rik Smits, ex center for the Indiana Pacers. Both were really nice guys and fun to be around. If you have never seen a 7 foot man on a motorcycle you don't know what your missing. Now I have to get ready for the I.T.S.A. trials on the 18th in Dickson Tn. Come on down and watch the fun.
